Greetings, classmates! News continues to roll in, so thanks for being in good touch! I heard from Brandi Kenner-Bell, who became a new mom this past year! Brandi and her husband, Juan Bell '99, welcomed Gavin Clarence Bell on February 24, 2008. By the time this column goes to print we'll have to say happy first birthday, Gavin! The Bell family is living in Chicago and, as if Gavin weren't keeping her busy enough, Brandi is also finishing up her second residency in dermatology and will be completing a fellowship in pediatric dermatology this year! As she says, "Life is going full speed ahead and I'm learning it's really hard to keep it together with a baby!"
Anne Renna is living in Chicago as well, where she's mom to little Sam, who turned 1 in November. Anne is working at Citadel in investor relations.
Right around when this issue arrives in your mailbox Ali Jacoby Abrahms and her husband, Aaron, will be welcoming their second child, who's due in March. Ali's daughter Phoebe is almost 3. Ali wrote that, "In an effort to get in all the friend visits that may become more difficult once we're juggling another one, we've been doing some Dartmouth-related travel. In October we headed up to Boston to visit my old roomies from my Boston days, Lisa Zeytoonjian Glenn, Emilie Schnitman Liebhoff and Jojo Blaxall Longnecker and their respective baby girls." Ali also got to see Dune Thome and her family while in town. Ali also managed to fit in a trip to Miami to see Kara Josephberg Paldino and planned to meet up with Sara Tullis while down there, too.
I also heard from Dominic Lanza, who had a bit of an update: "After graduating from law school in 2002 I moved to L.A., where for the last six years I did appellate work at a large law firm. However, just a few months ago (fall 2008) I left the firm and moved to Phoenix, Arizona, to become an assistant United States attorney. I am really enjoying the switch to government work so far." Dominic's wife, Jessica Post '00 is also a lawyer and so far they are "big fans of Arizona—great food, less congested than L.A., slower pace, etc. If any classmates happen to pass through the desert, we'd love to catch up—I promise it's a dry heat!"
Finally, a welcome to one of the newest members of our '98 family: Dan Kerzners son Max was born November 2, a bit early but ready and rarin' to go. Dan and his wife, Stacy Atlas Kerzner, are your typical glowing, doting new parents.
That's it for this issue—keep the news coming! And happy spring skiing!
