Hello '07s. I hope you've all begun to settle nicely into the New Year and can look optimistically into 2009. After all, regardless of which party you supported, the countiy seems to have adopted a brand new mantra: "Yes, we can!" Or you've watched enough YouTube and television that it is stuck in your head. More importantly, we learned that if Britney can come back in full force, so can we!
Congratulations to all of the '07s who helped with the 2008 presidential election for both parties. Amanda Brown and Sean Garren worked on the Barack Obama campaign, and Nicole Cameli recently ended her position as a communications director for the Democratic National Committee in New Hampshire.
Among other new beginnings I've started to get many updates about couples getting engaged. To add to the list, Amanda Greenberg recently got engaged to Noah Borenstein.
As we begin anotheryear out of Dartmouth our school spirit remains strong. Thank you to those who have attended mini-reunions and made contributions to the Dartmouth College Fund. Many '07s also continue to make trips back to the Granite State. This past fall Morgan Cole, who is currently a Peace Corps member in Burkina Faso, Africa, returned to the United States for a brief visit. Morgan scheduled her trip home to conveniently coincide with Homecoming. Missing Christmas but making Homecoming certainly shows her Dartmouth pride. I encourage all of you to continue to show your support for the College in any way you can. Look for information about alumni gatherings in your area, and don't forget to contribute to both the Dartmouth College Fund and the class dues. Finally, I'm biased when I say send in your updates for the Class Notes!
Cheers!
