The former CIA official also gained fame as the liberal foil to Pat buchanan on Cnn’s Crossfire. “he had a gift for writing about kids,” his daughter Susan Braden ’77 told the Associated Press after his April 3 death. “he could relate to them and write about them in a way that i really haven’t seen anybody else do.”…in three years Tom Loughlin ’91 made three trips to Esfahan, Iran, to photograph the daily lives of Iranians for his exhibition, pictures of you (see page 2).
