In Native American Alumni Association of Dartmouth (NAAAD) news, Michael Hanitchak ’73 has retired from his position as director of Dartmouth’s Native American program. “As some of you know I’ve made the difficult decision to take the early retirement incentive offered by the College and it is very strange not being in daily contact with all those who were my family for so many years. I learned so much from all of those whom I sought to teach and now I will be taking that accumulated wisdom back to Indian country in ways that I hope will benefit all of the many peoples whose relatives I have had the privilege and honor to know. So I’ll not say goodbye and we’ll talk again soon.”
