Short column this month, since I'm penning this just hours before I leave for a two week trip to Costa Rica. (One of the nice perks of working for a travel company!) Thank goodness for those newspaper clippings and press releases from the Alumni Office. Otherwise I'd have no news. Please drop a line when you can. Your classmates would love to hear about you! Speaking of classmates, Spike Lazos, my high school buddy from Manchester, N.H., is now practicing with Goodhall Health Partners in Sanford, Maine. Spike, a family physician, received his M.D. from Dartmouth Medical School and completed his residency at Maine-Dartmouth Family Practice. NellReynolds is now teaching English at the Newton Country Day School in Massachusettes. She also coaches varsity field hockey and lacrosse. Nell earned her master's degree in English education at SUNY, Cortland.

I'm saddened to report on the death of Michael Kolman. He was in a fatal car accident in November near his home in Woodside, Calif. Michael had been president of Records Search, a pre-employment screening company in Los Gatos, Calif. He earned his M.B.A. from Stanford in 1995. A formal obituary will follow in a future issue of the Alumni Magazine.
