Charles L. Carpenter (T.S.C.E.: '89) after four years efficient service as assistant and resident engineer on the Panama Canal, resigned his position July 1, and can be addressed for the present at Andover, Mass.

Frank B. Sanborn (T.S.C.E. '89), professor of civil engineering in Tufts College, is enjoying a year's leave of absence from his duties, and is at present substituting for an absent professor at the University of Illinois, at Urbana.
