Avery E. Lambert, Ph.D., for the last five years instructor in the Massachusetts State Normal School at Framingham, has been appointed assistant professor of zoology in Middlebury College, and began his work there with the college year.

Rev. Robert Arnold Chace, non-graduate, died in July in Plainfield, N. J., at the home of a brother, Paul G. Chace. He was thirty-three years old, and was born in Chicago, the son of Henry T. Chace. After leaving Dartmouth he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. He studied for the Episcopal ministry at the Philadelphia Divinity School, and had been rector of two churches in South Carolina.
