William G. Davis has resigned the position of clerk in the City Magistrates' Courts of New York, which he has held for seventeen years, and resumed the practice of law October 1 at 25 Broad St., Room . 1729.

Dr. Oscar J. Pfeiffer was the Progressive candidate at the Colorado primaries for the Republican nomination for regent of the state university, a position which he formerly held with great acceptance, but the Progressive were all beaten by a small margin.
