George E. Fletcher was appointed July 16 deputy commissioner of internal revenue, with headquarters at U. S. Treasury Building, Washington, D. C.
The University of Cambridge, England, has conferred the degree of Doctor of Science on Professor Edwin Brant Frost, director of the Yerkes Observatory, Williams Bay, Wis., and professor of astrophysics in the University of Chicago.
