For the benefit of those who didn't make the reunion, this month brings some more news from this reporter's notebook. On the career front, Ellis Regenbogen shows how many things one can do with a law degree. After being associated with law firms in New 'fork and Dallas, and serving as deputy general counsel and secretary to Columbia Pictures in between, Ellis has been named vice president and general counsel at American Medical Electronics, a manufacturer of advanced devices for orthopedics and neurosurgery. It's amazing how many different positions '67 attorneys have.
On the medical front, Larry Bowen has been elected president of the New England Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. Larry practices in Providence, where he teaches at Brown Medical School and is on staff at a local hospital.
Defying the economic odds, Hannaford Bros. Company has been expanding its supermarket operations throughout New England and achieving record earnings under the leadership of new Chief Executive Officer Hugh Farrington. Hugh had been serving as president and chief operating officer at the firm that he joined after business school.
And, of course, no one who has read any magazine in the country missed the write-ups on Jerry Zaks' latest Tony Award-winning production of Guys and Dolls. So I urge everyone to go to the calendar right now and save May 1, 1993. That night Bill Yaggy is planning a gala mini-reunion in New York featuring Jerry's show. It will be a special opportunity to continue some of the great conversations that were started in Hanover in June, and it will give those who couldn't make it to Reunion a second chance. Be there.
How about sending me some reflections on your experience at Reunion that I can share with classmates? Send me your news.
