Don S. Gates, city secretary for boys of the Boston Y. M. C. A., has gone to Newark, N. J., to become secretary for the North End Community Boys' Work. During his nine years' work in Boston, Mr. Gates has developed the work of the boys' division from less than 300 members to nearly 1050, ranking third largest in the world. He is considered by Y. M. C. A. workers as one of their most successful leaders in boys' work. His plans and methods of work have been original, and have been accepted as the best solution of the problems with which they deal.
