The engagement is announced of Ralph Edwin Whitman to Julia, daughter of Mrs. Arthur Wyllis Bowker of Brookline, Mass.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur H. Gray have a daughter, Barbara Jane, born March 23, 1918.
