Nat (Cross-Country) Burleigh and his attractive wife have kept your temporary secretary well informed of their visits with 1911ers. Among those with whom they have hashed over the past, present and future of the class are Gene Gardner, Dutch Irwin,Sid Backus, Ed Keeler, Ben Stout, Gene Fuller, Mort Grover, Jinks Morton, Cap Hedges,Al Nutt, Lawrence Coy, Duke Dunning, TroyParker, Fred Long and Rick Castle and when last heard from were on their way to the Pacific Coast where they will foregather with the West Coast brethren. Then they'll swing back the southern route, and spend some time in Florida before coming back to Hanover.
Meantime, here, we've seen John and Margaret Pearson, Ed and Ethel Poole, Austinand Kate Keough and the George Frencheswith more to come for the Columbia game.
We missed seeing Ben and Alice Stout and Chub and Katherine Sterling who were here in early October, and the Jack Russells who took a look at their freshman son the middle of the month.
John Pearson is temporarily in Washington, working to implement Senator Ralph Flanders' plan for finding some peaceful solution to the ruckus we all are in.
Josh Clark reports that the Harvard game get-together brought out Ken Ballou, AubreyButler, Ken Clark, Amos Crooks, Gabe Farrell, George French, Les Gibson, DemonHauikridge, Jack Ingersoll, Hugh Kenworthy,Stan Macomber, Brad Patten, Dick Paul,Bud Schell, Hank Seaver, Henry Smith, DickStevens and AI Wheeler and himself. Sounds like a worthy aggregation.
Bill Gooding's boy John, a lieutenant in the Marine Corps, is at Quantico.
Jim Malley has been active as a member of the New Hampshire State Planning and Development Commission where he has had a committee of prominent New Englanders working on a plan to broaden the New Hampshire tax base. This would certainly be welcome to New Hampshire residents and citizens if it could be sold to that notable aggregation of citizens known as the State Legislature.
Although Warren Agry has not yet given in to the retirement urge, he's getting ready as he is completely remodeling the whole house at Etna. You'll have an opportunity to see this delightful spot next June.
