Rev. Samuel Rose of Buckland, Mass., occupied the pulpit of the Congregational church in Sharon, Vt., on Sunday, August 19. At the Old Home Day exercises the previous Wednesday, his son, Rev. Philip M. Rose '09, of East Hartford, Conn., made the invocation.

Arthur H. Hale of Manchester, N. H., was in recent conference with Governor Brown as a member of the New Hampshire committee opposing the fusion of the Boston and Maine and New Haven railroads, or the so-called Storrow plan.
