Frank W. Ferguson, of the Boston firm of Cram and Ferguson, architects, has purchased Londoner's Island, one of the group of seven islands, comprising the Isles of Shoals, and is planning to rebuild the house standing on the island for use as a summer home.
Joseph M. Willard, who has taught mathematics at Pennsylvania State College for thirty years, has been forced by prolonged illness to retire as head of the mathematics partment, but will still be retained on the staff. He has been in Johns Hopkins Hospital since early summer.
