A gift of $500, to be applied in general for the making of a better understanding and a deeper appreciation of the fine arts, has been received by Dartmouth College and recorded in the name of the class of 1879. The fund will be used to increase the program of musicians and lecturers on belles lettres appearing in Hanover throughout the college year.
The gift to the College was made by Judge William N. Cohen, of New York City, a distinguished alumnus of the class in whose name it is recorded.
