Research Publications of the University of Minnesota, Education Series No. 2 is entitled "Studies in Public Finance, the East, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey," by Fletcher Harper Swift '98, Richard A. Graves, and Ernest W. Tiegs. This is a monograph of 240 pages.

"A Spectroscopic Method of Deriving the Parallaxes of B-Type Stars" by Walter S. Adams '98, and Alfred H. Joy is published as Contributions from the Mount Wilson Observatory, No. 262. This monograph originally appeared in the Astro physicalJournal.,

"How to Build your Radio Receiver," popular Radio Handbook No. 1, edited by Kendall Banning '02, and L. M. Cockaday, has been published by Popular Radio, New York City. This is a volume of 100 pages. Silver, Burdett and Company are the publishers of "The Progressive Music Series for Basal Use in Primary, Intermediate and Grammar Grades," by Horatio Parker and others. Book 1 Philippine edition has been compiled by Hon. Norberto Romualdez and Charles E. Griffith, Jr. 'IS.

"In Memoriam Warren Gamaliel Harding" an address by Hon. John H. Bartlett '94, First Assistant Post-master General, delivered at Manchester, New Hampshire, August 10, 1923, has been attractively printed in book form.

"Audacity" by Ben Ames Williams '10 will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE;

"Those Fiery Radicals of Yesteryear" by Fred Lewis Pattee '88 appears in the issue of the Book Review of the New York Times for February 24, 1924.

The Sunday issue of the Chicago Tribune will contain each week a column of comment on books and authors by Gene Markey '18.

"Principles of Sociology" by Frederick A. Bushee, Ph.D. '94, published by Henry Holt and Company, will be reviewed in a later issue of the MAGAZINE.

The Karen Theological Seminary Bulletin, Vol. 1, No. 1, 1923, contains an article by H. I. Marshall 'OO, entitled "The Recruiting and Training of Evangelistic Leaders in the Light of Christ's Leadership."

Doubleday Page and Company have recently published "John H. Patterson, Pioneer in Industrial Welfare" by Samuel Crowther. Mr. Patterson of the class of '67 was one of Dartmouth's best known alumni, and this biography should be of interest to the alumni of the college in general. Unfortunately very little information is given concerning Mr. Patterson's days at Dartmouth.
