The Dartmouth Plaque annually awarded to that school whose delegation to the freshman class obtains the highest standing during the first semester, has been won this year by the high school of Haverhill, Massachusetts. The average standing of the delegation fg|m this school was 2.85.

The runner-up delegation came from Newton High School, Newtonville, Mass., which sent four boys with an average standing of 2.52. The third place was won by the Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, Pa., sending three boys averaging 2.1. The plaque was won last year by the Phillips Andover Academy delegation with the same average.

The conditions governing the award of this plaque are that the delegation must number at least three men, who have spent their last year of preparatory school work in one school. In awarding the plaque no distinction is made whether the students enter by examination or certificate.

The winning delegation from Haverhill High School consists of R. B. Fox, Haverhill, Mass.; J. A. Mullen, Groveland, Mass.; W. E. Murray, Lynn, Mass., and W. G. Smith, Bradford, Mass.
