Russell H. Rhodes '18, American Vice Consul at London, England, was presented to His Majesty King George V at the Levee at St. James' Palace, by His Excellency, The American Ambassador, Hon. Frank B. Kellogg, March 18, 1924. By command of His Majesty, received through the offices of the Marshal of the British Diplomatic Corps, Vice Consul Rhodes, who is the first American Consular Officer to be presented at Court for several years, appeared in full Court Dress.

Other Dartmouth alumni prominent in London have also been mentioned in recent dispatches from England. Walter Wanger '15, famous film impresario and former director of the Dartmouth Dramatic Association has returned to London from New York where he produced for A. H. Woods "Charlote's Review." Mr. Wanger has re-entered the legitimate field and will shortly produce for A. H. Woods in London, "Polly Preferred," with his wife, Justine Johnstone, in an important role.

Joseph H. Brewer '20 has resigned his position with "The Spectator" and is now engaged in private literary work, spending his time in England and Italy.

"Wine of Fury," a novel by Leighton Rogers 'l6, has recently appeared in England where it is being accorded a warm reception.

Harold Sanford Glendening '18 is completing his course of study at Oxford and proposes later to practice patent law at the English Bar. Alan Sanford Glendening, his son, was christened recently at St. Paul's church, Knightsbridge, London. Mr. Glendening married two years ago Miss Alicia Du Pont, daughter of Alfred I. Du Pont, the famous Delaware manufacturer.
