GEORGE H. COLTON '35, director of development for the College, has announced the appointment of George W. Rand '19 as Associate in the Office of Development. Mr. Rand is devoting his full time to the Medical School's capital funds campaign.
Now a resident of Hanover, Mr. Rand formerly lived in New Rochelle, N. Y., and was associated with J. P. Stevens and Co., New York textile firm, until his retirement in March 1960. During World War II he served in combat intelligence as a major in the Army Air Corps. Before the war he had been a partner" in the firm of Drane and Rand and an executive with the American Woolen Co.
Since 1947 Mr. Rand has served the Class of 1919 as Secretary and has been an active alumni worker for the College.
