K. P. Coykendall '25, college 160-pound boxing champion reached the final round of the amateur boxing championship matches held early in May by the Boston Athletic Association. Coykendall disposed of his first opponent, Davis, of South Boston, by means of a knock out in the first round. He then met Guerrin, also of South Boston, and was awarded the referee's decision after a fast bout. In the final round Coykendall was defeated by Ed Weatherhead. of Cleveland, a graduate of Harvard, who was given the match on points after three hard rounds
