In one of the wierdest games of basketball ever played in Alumni Gymnasium Dartmouth retained second place in the Eastern Intercollegiate Basketball League by scoring as many points against Cornell on the floor as the hockey team had previously scored on ice. As an exhibition of defensive play by two strong defensive teams the game left little to be desired. Three minutes before the close of the first half the Ithaca team led Dartmouth by a score of 2 to 1. At half time the Green team was leading 4 to 3. Neither team was able to cage a single point during the first 10 minutes of play. Heep led the Dartmouth scoring with four points, Dey and Langdell scored three points each, and Picken two. For Cornell Dake scored 7 points and Albee one.
