An account has recently come to the MAGAZINE of the celebration in Troy, N. Y., of a period of sixty years' service with the Union National Bank of that city by Henry Wheeler, now president of the institution. Starting as office boy in 1864 Mr. Wheeler has been continuously connected with the bank and has worked his way from the bottom to the top. Of particular interest to Dartmouth men is the fact that he is a lineal descendant in the fifth generation of the first president of the College being descended from James, Eleazar Wheelock's youngest son.
