Like most of the early season games this opener really proved nothing except the fine sportsmanship of the men from Norwich. The affair was slightly less ragged than most opening games and if the rumor is to be relied upon that Norwich is stronger this year than it was last season there may be reason for a little optimism concerning our weighty schedule.

Dartmouth showed a versatile and powerful attack which accounted for 25 first downs. Lane, a new halfback who will be worth looking at, made three touchdowns, Oberlander and Robinson two each, and Reece one. Forward passes accounted for two of the touchdowns and paved the way for two others.

The Green line composed mostly of veterans proved sturdy and dependable although giving no indication of what it may be expected to do against more rugged opposition.
