CORNERSTONE LAID OF NEW UNIVERSITY CLUB

Two hundred members of the University Club of Boston gathered Monday noon to witness the laying of the cornerstone of the new club building in Back Bay, the construction of which was begun this summer.

The club will move into its new quarters the first of next September and at the present time the organization has a membership of 4033. Two hundred and thirty-six of these are life members, 2765 are senior and junior members, 259 non-resident, 350 faculty and clergy and 423 active members.
