As usual the day of the game with Brown was that selected by the Dartmouth team for its annual mid-season slump with the result that two blocked kicks was the measure of its effectiveness in Providence, October 31. Brown displayed its customary Dartmouth game stubbornness and against the listlessness of the Green team looked particularly active. Keefer and Payor, of Brown, were constant threats, though the former was so effectively watched that his gains for the afternoon came to but 19-yards.

Dartmouth's first touchdown was scored in the second period when Randall, the Brown quarterback, attempting to punt from Brown's 18-yard line failed to get his kick away. The punt was blocked by Sage and Phillips, substituting for Captain Parker, recovered the ball and scored. Sage blocked another punt in the fourth quarter, again near the Brown goal line, Rubin recovering and scoring the second touchdown.

Brown just missed a touchdown in the second period when a pass which was completed over the goal line was nullified by offside play.
