MID-APRIL BLIZZARD BURIES HANOVER
May 1925

The heaviest snow storm of the winter arrived in Hanover early Sunday morning, April 19, and remained for something over 24 hours. After its departure, local weather sages reported a snowfall of 16 inches equivalent to almost two inches of rainfall.

Senior canes, putters and mashies, white linen knickers, green grass on the campus and the other accoutrements of spring reached Hanover about a week before the storm. Accordingly not even members of the ski team seemed pleased at the prospect of continued winter.
