NAVY WINS INTERCOLLEGIATE GYM MEET HELD IN HANOVER
May 1925

The intercollegiate gym meet was held in the Alumni Gymnasium March 21. As was expected the strong Navy team scored an easy victory, capturing every first place and all but two seconds. These latter and a sufficient number of thirds to earn second place were gathered in by Pat Kaney's pupils. The point score gave Navy 47, Dartmouth 12, Penn 6, Princeton 1 and M. I. T. 0.

At the business meeting of the association, it was voted to change the name from the Intercollegiate Association of Amateur Gymnasts to the Eastern Intercollegiate Gymnasts League. Dartmouth, Penn, Princeton and M. I. T. are to be charter members. Other colleges will be invited to join the league. Because of its undoubted superiority over college teams, the Navy will hold only an associate membership. Matches with the Navy which will appear on the schedules of all league members and will be invited to participate in the intercollegiates will have no effect on the league standing.
