The Non-Fraternity Club has taken 19 North Main street as a clubhouse for the college year. The club house will be equipped with pool and card tables and will be furnished with reading rooms and lounging rooms. No attempt will be made to provide a dormitory as the fraternities do, but possibly one member may reside there to act as caretaker. A lease has been signed with the college for this year. The house, however will be torn down in the a new house will then be erected by the Club. Letters have been sent to 1500 non-fraternity alumni of the classes 1894-1915 inclusive, asking aid in providing a fund for furniture.
The dues will pay for the upkeep of the house. The dues will be five dollars a semester. No initiation fee will be charged. Membership is open to all those who care to apply, subject to the convenient limitations of the house for accommodating the members. The Clubhouse is now being furnished and will be opened formally with a first meeting either Wednesday, Oct. 20, or Wednesday, Oct. 27. The first meeting will be for the purpose of inspection of the clubhouse by the members, and securing additional members. Two weeks later permanent officers for the year will be elected, but no member who has not paid his dues will be allowed to vote.
The chief purpose of the club is to provide a place for social activity for all non-fraternity men. The membership cards may be secured from V. G. F. Reynolds '27, present treasurer of the organization, at 5 Crosby Hall.
