With one successful production to thencredit, the Players are busy on their winter program of offerings which will give the College a variety and quality of dramatic entertainment seldom enjoyed in Hanover.

As an added feature to the Dartmouth-Brown game, "Captain Applejack" was staged in Webster Hall. As Mr. Stearns. Morse remarked in reviewing the play: "After a somewhat gray, not to say brown, afternoon what could be more diverting than a not too Freudian drama of repressed desires, lonely houses in Cornwall, secret panels, glittering revolvers, jewels, Russian spies and dancers and, to cap it all, a pirate scene with plenty of oaths, some pretty knife work and a bloodthirsty pirate crew. .. ? And in interpreting the play the Players acquitted themselves with competence and gusto."

Hence the College waits with increased anticipation for "Dear Brutus" which will be produced after the Christmas holidays and "The Chocolate Soldier" which will be a Carnival focal point of interest and fun. These two productions are now in the rehearsal stage and judging from the zest which has marked early preparations for these entertainments they should further raise the high standard already established by the Players under the guidance of Mr. Frederick C. Packard, new director of dramatics.
