Not for many years has a Dartmouth basketball team looked as futile and inept as did this year's outfit as it exhibited against the strong Columbia team in Alumni Gymnasium. The Columbia team was fast, aggressive, and precise, superior to Dartmouth—infinitely superior —in every department of the game, and capable of scoring at will.
Conspicuous in the Columbia play was Captain Mannheim, whose floor work and feeding of the Columbia forwards was responsible for many points of the Columbia score. Rothenfeld, of Columbia, scored 11 points, including five baskets from the floor, Laub was responsible for eight points, Lorch for an equal number, and Mannheim for six. For Dartmouth Heep and Whittaker scored four points each, Langdell three, McFadden two, and Gordon one.
