Mr. and Mrs. Eleazar Cate have been taking a vacation in Porto Rico.

Robert Noyes Fairbanks is engaged in the motor manufacturing business in London. George F. Hardy was bereaved by the death of his wife, November 3.

Charles H. Morrill, after serving 27 years as principal of Brigham Academy, Bakersfield, Vt., is now principal of the high school, Newport, Vt.

Professor Fred Lewis Pattee of Pennsylvania State College has been spending a half year's leave of absence in Florida. He is to lecture this summer in the Graduate School of Columbia University.

Henry J. Stevens was bereaved by the death of his wife, September 26. He himself is seeking recovery from a breakdown at the State Hospital, Middletown, N. Y.

Fred A. Walker, 280 Broadway, New York, is one of the board of directors of the Munsey interests, and is leader of the movement to contribute a newspapermen's bay to the Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Charles R. Spalding is manager of the Athol House, Athol, Mass.
