The Dartmouth golf team opened the 1926 season by defeating Columbia 9 to 0 and Amherst 6 to 0 in matches played over the Westchester Biltmore course May 7 and 8. The winning streak was continued with Pennsylvania being defeated 8 to 1, and Princeton 5 to 4 on the following days.

The first defeat of the season was met at Bridgeport, Conn., where the Yale team won from the Hanover players by a score of 8 to 1. Captain Batchelder, who won Dartmouth's single match, defeated Captain Waddell, of Yale and turned in a low card of 72.
