Arthur Thompson Stuart, formerly class president, died in New Orleans August 6, 1927. The following is taken from the St. Johnsbury paper:

"The funeral of Arthur Thompson Stuart, the oldest son of Postmaster Charles L. Stuart of Lyndonville, was held at the home of his father this morning at 10 o'clock, the Rev. W. A. Bacon, pastor of the Congregational church officiating. The bearers were four of his school-day associates, Calvin E. Brown of St. Johnsbury, Ralph O. Dodge of Hyde Park, Mass., Ernest Mastin and Homer G. Watson of Lyndonville. The burial was in the family lot at Lyndon Center.

"Mr. Stuart was a native of Lyndonville, where he was born 41 years ago. For the last six or seven years he has been in New Orleans, La., where he was the local manager of one of the H. G. Hill stores, and recently received a deserved promotion in the conduct of the business. Last spring he had a hard run of influenza which left his heart in a much-depleted condition and from which he had never recovered. His death came very suddenly on the morning of August 6, heart failure being the immediate cause."
