According to press dispatches the feature of the early winter program of the Woman's Club in Milford, N. H., was an illustrated lecture on "How to Listen to Music" by Dr. Roland E. Chesley of Utica, N. Y. The eminent doctor gave his lecture on November 27, prior to which it had been extensively advertised through the newspapers and pulpits, and invitations sent to schools and other clubs, including the local band. If the lecture was as good as the Milford newspaper's . musical editor claimed, our Pop will fast attain, national prominence.

I have just received a newspaper clipping from Charlie Bennett, which carries a picture of Roger and tells the story of his. winning the championship of the Detroit Golf Club. Two days before the finals someone stole all of his clubs, but with an outfit borrowed from four different people, augmented by an iron found in the attic and a putter found in the basement, he went out and scored 75-77-75 in three successive rounds, and defeated two strong players, one of them Connor being regarded as one of Michigan's best golfers.
