Report from the Athletic Council
DECEMBER 1927

Professor Charles A. Proctor '00, chairman of the Faculty Committee on Athletics, had been asked to attend the meeting and report for the Athletic Council substantially as he had done at the spring meeting of the faculty. His report was listened to with much interest, dealing as it did with the financial condition of the Council. The Athletic Council has felt itself in a position to already assume the bulk of the cost of recreational activities in the College and expects in the near future to assume the entire cost.

The discussion following the report covered among other things the resolution sent by the Alumni Council last year to the Athletic Council concerning conduct at football games, a matter with which the Athletic Council has stated its readiness to deal whenever cases are reported ; and the Camp Memorial at Yale to the erection of which Dartmouth was one of the contributors.
