Trinity College, Cambridge, England has announced that an election to a Research Studentship will be made at the end of July 1927 and in every subsequent year. The studentship, which is open to men graduated at any University other than Cambridge before Oct. 1, 1927 is tenable until the student is of standing to proceed to the degree of Ph.D. and will be of such value not exceeding £.200 a year as the Electors may decide. Massachusetts Institute of Technology will offer in 1927-28 a number of graduate scholarships to assist students in pursuing courses of study leading to the degrees of Master of Science, Master in Architecture, Doctor of Science, Doctor of Philosophy, and Doctor of Public Health. Information may be procured from and applications addressed to The Dean of Graduate Students, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Mass., not later than March 1, 1927.
Announcement has also recently been made of the conditions under which the Charles A. Coffin Foundation Fellowships established by the General Electric Company will be awarded for 1927-28. The fields in which these fellowships are awarded are Electricity, Physics, and Physical Chemistry. Further information concerning the Charles A. Two prizes known as the Loubat Prizes, of the value respectively of $1,000 and $400 will be awarded at Columbia University's Commencement in 1928, for the best work printed and published in the English language on the History, Geography, Archaeology, Ethnology, Philology, or Numismatics of North America.
