Seven members of the Dartmouth faculfcy who were granted leave of absence for the present semester left Hanover recently to spend the period in travel and study. Among those who will spend the major portion of the time in Europe are Professor W. M. Urban, of the Department of Philosophy, Assistant Professor Franklin McDuffee, of the Department of English, and Harold G. Rugg, Assistant Librarian of the 'College. Professor J. M. Mecklin, of the Department of Sociology, Professor William A. Robinson, of the Department of Political Science, Professor Lloyd P. Rice, of the Department of Economics, and Howard A. Bradley, Instructor in Public Speaking, who were also granted leave will remain in this country.
