The Dartmouth College Library is endeavoring to build up its collection of publications by alumni and faculty of the College. This collection was started under the administration of President Tucker and at his request. In Wilson Hall the collection was kept together in a special glass case in the reading room. The collection is now installed in the archives room in Baker Library. For this collection it is desired to secure every book, pamphlet, and magazine article by the alumni and faculty. It is hoped that those reading this note will not hesitate to send such of their publications as they can spare to the Library for this collection. The library is extremely anxious also to complete the publications of the earlier alumni.
Installed also in the archives room is the collection known as the Dartmouth College history collection. This comprises all publications relating in any way to the history of Hanover or to the history of the College. Here are Hanover imprints, class reports and all sorts of miscellaneous material relating in the slightest degree to Dartmouth College. For this collection, programs of College events and other such ephemeral material is desired. Recently in going through the files of the Dartmouth it was found that the two files in the library lacked many of the issues of the Dartmouth published during the nineties. Numbers necesssary to fill in the gaps for this period will be especially welcome. Communications regarding these two collections should be sent to the Baker Library, attention of Harold G. Rugg, assistant librarian.
