Thorndike Saville, 'l4, is the author of "The Water Supply of Caracas, Venezuela. With notes on conditions affecting water supplies of the country." This article has been reprinted from the Journal of the New England Water Works Association, volume 42, number 3. Mr Saville is also the author of an article published in the Engineering NewsRecord for August 16, 1928 on the "Sewerage System of Caracas, Venezuela."
Russell Rhodes, 'lB, former American vice-consul at London, England, is the author of a special feature article in the November issue of The Financial Digest relating the history of the Gray Telephone Pay Station Company, inventors of the coin box prepayment system which has revolutionized the world's telephone business.
Since his return from England where, in addition to his consular duties, he was special foreign correspondent of The Hartford Times and The New York Graphic, Mr. Rhodes has been staff feature writer for The HartfordCourant.
One of the most interesting books relating to the history of the college is "The Life and Letters of Nathan Smith M.8.M.D." published in 1914 by the Yale University Press. This book, dealing with the life of the founder of rthe Dartmouth, Yale, and Bowdoin Medical Schools, is well worthy of perusal. Fortunately the volume is still in print.
