The seventeenth annual meeting of the Cheshire County Dartmouth Association was held at Hotel Ellis, Keene, N. H., December 27, 1927. This was the most enthusiastic gathering ever held by the Association, due to the efforts of Dr. Arthur W. Hopkins '99, president, and his executive committee. There were present 40 Dartmouth men and 50 guests, including 14 letter men of the Keene High School football team, and a number of prospective Dartmouth students from the county.

After the dinner, President Hopkins as toastmaster called on the following alumni for talks : Chester B. Jordan 'IS, Elgin A. Jones '74, James Francis Smith '03, Rev. A. Karl Skinner '03, and Rev. Truman O. Harlow '88. Songs were sung under the leadership of Judge Jordan with Roland Whitney '25 at the piano, and also under the direction of Bertram A: Powers, leader, and Edward F. Holbrook, accompanist, two local musicians. Motion pictures were shown by Reginald F. Howe, local photographer. These included scenes from the Dartmouth-Cornell football game, and local flood pictures.

The special guests of the evening were Capt. Bob MacPhail, Alton Marsters, and Tex Cole of this year's football team, and Gordon Brown of the Harvard team. These all spoke in an interesting manner, and gave information regarding football matters.

The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: President, Philip R. Flanders '08; vice-president, Robert D. Nims '18; secretary-treasurer, Forrest J. Hall '03; executive committee, William H. Nelson '20. Richard L. Holbrook '17, Nathaniel H. Batchelder '03; committee to examine candidates for admission to Dartmouth, Elgin A. Jones '74, Willis 0. Smith '91, William H. Watson '03.

The meeting closed with cheers led by Russell G. Putney '22 and Philip R. Flanders '08, and the singing of the song "Men of Dartmouth."
