At a meeting of the Dartmouth chapter of Phi Beta Kappa held on February 20, fourteen new members "were elected from the class of 1928. Professor Harold E. B. Speight of the Department of Philosophy was also elected as an honorary member.

At the annual business meeting, the following officers were elected for the year: president, Professor L. B. Richardson '00; secretarytreasurer, Harold G. Rugg '06; executive committee, Professors R. C. Nemiah, S. G. Patterson, and J. H. Gerould.

For admission to Phi Beta Kappa a scholastic standing of at least 3.2 for at least seven semesters of College work is required. The following seniors were elected :

W. W. Ballard of Greenfield, Massachusetts, a member of Sigma Alpha and secretary of the Inter fraternity Council.

U. E. Bartlett of Rockford, Illinois, a member of Cabin and Trail, and of the Canoe Club, and a first-year student in Tuck School.

W. A. Breyfogle of Peterboro, Ontario, Canada, Rhodes Scholar-elect, president of The Arts, member of D.0.G., Zeta Psi and Casque and Gauntlet.

L. L. Carter of Milton, Massachusetts, member of Delta Upsilon.

W. E. Dietz of New York City, .member of Kappa Phi Kappa.

C. E. Drake of Whitman, Massachusetts, member of Alpha Tau Omega and Kappa Phi Kappa.

I. J. Engleman of Rahway, New Jersey, member of Pi Lambda Phi and The Players.

C. J. Frankland of Rochester, New York, member of Delta Upsilon and Kappa Phi Kappa.

R. W. Hankins of Northampton, Massachusetts, member of Sigma Alpha.

W. McKee of New York City, manager of track, member of Bait and Bullet, Green Key, Phi Kappa Psi, Casque and Gauntlet, and firstyear student at Tuck School.
