PROFESSOR C. A. PROCTOR HONORED BY BRITISH SKI CLUB
MAY, 1928

By reason of his services to the cause of skiing in the United States Professor C. A. Proctor 00 has recently been made an honorary member of the Ski Club of Great Britain. He was one of the founders of the Inter-collegiate Ski Association and has been constantly active in its councils as well as in the affairs of the Dartmouth Outing Club. He has likewise been one of the leaders in codifying the regulations for judging ski jumping which have been widely adopted by the various ski associations. His inclusion among the honorary members of the Ski Club of Great Britain, however, was largely due to his work in introducing the slalom race in ski meets in the United States.

There are fewer than twenty-five honorary members on the Ski Club of Great Britain, among them being the Crown Prince of Norway, Prince Chichibu of Japan, Roald A'mundsen of Norway, Admiral Beatty, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Fridtjof Nansen of Norway.
