The contest for the cup conferred by the Class of 1894 as an annual trophy to the class having present at its reunion the largest proportion of its living graduates was won at the recent Commencement by the semi-centennial class of 1878 with twenty-three present out of thirty-six living graduates. This is the first time that this class has won the cup, at the previous five year periods the trophy having gone to the class of 1868 once and to the class of 1873 twice. According to the figures returned by the various class secretaries the class of 1873 had the second highest percentage this year, followed by 1888, 1898, 1893, and 1903. The cup has been in competition now since 1900, the record for attendance having been made by the Fifty-Year Class of 1864 which returned with a percentage of 90.9 in 1914.
