Decker Field and Mrs. Field have announced the marriage of their daughter Jean to Mr. Samuel Shone Faires, June 23, 1928, at Omaha.

Assistant Postmaster General John H. Bartlett, in answer to my inquiry, confirms the announcement of the arrival of John Henry Bartlett 2d, May 26, 1928. The Assistant Postmaster General, while in college, by reason of his mature if not patriarchal bearing, was familiarly known as "Old Sunapee. The new John Henry is the son of Calvin Page Bartlett, and the grandson of our classmate. Sunapee's comment is as follows: "There is not very much that can be said about a grandson five weeks old, as you know. His life is rather uneventful so far. I think he has inherited the Bartlett trait of eating what he wants or what he can get, and I understand his provisions are as handy as nature intended. He hobbled in with more or less assistance on May 26, and his parents, without my knowledge, handicapped him for life with the name John Henry 2d."
