Pinal registration shows a total enrollment, including the Medical, Thayer and Tuck Schools, of 2,251 students. These grouped by classes: seniors 478, juniors 519, sophomores 557, freshmen 625, graduate students 15, Medical School 39, Thayer School 25, Tuck School 104. The number of students in the entering class was restricted by Dean E. Gordon Bill, after conferring with President Hopkins, to the above figure in order to keep the total enrollment down to the limit which the trustees feel cannot be exceeded.
Twenty-five transfers from other colleges matriculated in September. There is one transfer into the senior class, seven transferred into the junior class, 12 into the sophomore class and five into the freshman class.
