Mahonri Young, one of America's foremost artists and sculptors, will conduct group discussions for elementary art courses and will tutor advanced art students in their work during the next semester. While in Hanover, Mr. Young will continue his own work in the studio in Culver Hall. Students interested in art will have the unique advantage of being able to observe a professional at work and of discussing with him special features of their own work. He will also give any necessary assistance and advice to students who are drawing or painting outside of class.
Mr. Young studied at the Art Students' League in New York and the Julien, Colorossi, and Delacluse Academies in Paris. He has been awarded numerous prizes and medals both in America and abroad for his etchings and sculptures, and his paintings have been hung in the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
