A long article in the Boston papers early in May featured the fact that the Concord Savings Bank, of which Ned Woodworth is president, electrified the savings bank people by paying an extra dividend of 13 1/2 per cent. The record of this bank under Ned's management has been extraordinary. The bank has paid extra dividends before. The secret of the whole matter seems to be that the bank has been administered as conscientiously and ably as if it were a money-making institution.

The following is taken from a recent newspaper notice: "Mr. and Mrs. Richard Mather Boardman of New York city have announced the engagement of their daughter, Eleanor Withington Boardman, to Charles Baker Hester of Brooklyn. Miss Boardman is a descendant of Judge Nathaniel Niles, poet, theologian, and statesman of revolutionary times and trustee of the college, who retained Daniel Webster in behalf of the college in the famous Dartmouth College Case. She attended the Brearley School and graduates from Smith College this June. She made her debut in New York two years ago, and is a member of the Junior League of New York. Mr. Hester was graduated from Yale in 1923, where he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity. He was graduated from Columbia Law School in 1926 and admitted to practice at the bar of New York in the same year, and is at present associated with the firm of Putney, Twombly, and Putney of New York. The wedding is expected to take place next February."
