Since the main part of this article was written the Dartmouth team, after having a 52-0 field day against Columbia, went down to Cambridge where it was "raining icicles" and decisively beat Harvard in a tense and slippery game which ended with a 7-2 score. With the wind in Dartmouth's favor during the first period, Morton capitalized on it with good generalship and magnificent punting. Having penetrated into Crimson territory, the Green carried the ball across with a series of straight running plays, Morton making the final plunge across the goal line. Then buckling down to hold the Crimson when the elements in turn favored Harvard, a damp and determined Dartmouth team held the score to the two points earned by a blocked punt resulting in a safety. Dartmouth clearly outplayed Harvard in the first and last periods, had an edge in the third, and would perhaps concede a reluctant advantage to the Crimson—plus the wind—in the second. Phil Sherman will write more fully of the Columbia and Harvard games in the next issue.—ED.
