Thomas Nelson and Son of New York are the publishers of a new edition of Samuel Butler's Erewhon. This edition is edited by Professor William A. Eddy.

"Crucifer Carpels" by Professor Arthur J. Eames of Cornell and Professor Carl L. Wilson appears in the American Journal of Botany for July, 1930.

Professor Herman Eeldman of The Amos Tuck School contributed one of the twelve chapters to a book on Statistics and SocialStudies, a volume published under the Committee on Social Statistics of the American Statistical Association, and edited by Stuart A. Rice of the University of Pennsylvania, formerly of Dartmouth. The book is published by the University of Pennsylvania.

The aim of the volume has been to exhibit the nature of the problems that are encountered when the methods of statistics are applied to social and sociological studies. Professor Feldman's section used prohibition statistics as illustrative of various problems of research.

Henry Holt & Company are the publishers of "Fundamentals of Ethics, an Introduction to Moral Philosophy" by Professor W. M. Urban. This book will be reviewed later. "Modernism in the Science of Philosophy" by Professor Urban has been reprinted from the April number of the Journal of Philosophical Studies. Volume 2 of Contemporary American Philosophers contains an article by Professor Urban entitled "Metaphysics and Value." An article on Value by Professor Urban appeared in the last edition of the Encyclopedia Brittanica.
